The Golf and Sports Center is the winter location of some nationally recognized professionals. Private and group instruction is available from John Andrews, Bev Miller, Todd Sones and Kristy Vik. Bev Miller is a Golf Digest Top 50 Professional and an LPGA Master Professional, Todd Sones is a Golf Digest Top 50 Professional and Kristy Vik is a Golf Digest Top 50 Professional, an LPGA Master Professional and the 2007 LPGA Professional of the Year. The facility also offers golf specific fitness and conditioning training.

For the 2010 golf season, The Chad Johansen Golf Academy is offering weekly $25 golf clinics. The clinics include: 1) Stop Slicing and hit the ball farther 2) Build a Better Golf Swing 3) Driving Long Distance 4) Beginners Golf Clinic 5) Bunker Play 6) Chipping and Pitching 7) Making more Putts. Best Golf Tip Ever Given:
When I was entering my Freshman Year at Jacobs, I really wanted to play football. My mom told me I was too small and that I should play golf. The golf industry has been sorry ever since.

Funniest Golf Moment:
Playing at Golf Club of Illinois, a friend was so far down in our foursomes bet that he offered to jump in a lake to free him of his losses. He took off his clothes, laid them on the cart, and jumped in. Funny part is that while he was swimming back to shore, we drove away with his clothes and forced him to run back to the clubhouse au’natural. But he was debt free!

Most Memorable Golf Experience:
My first hole-in-one at Kemper Lakes in 1988. It was in a Pro-Am with Doug Bauman, and I was too young to HAVE to buy drinks afterwards!
